Now would be a good time to get a head start on some fall clean up. Mechanical and Electrical rooms tend to be a catch all for items from summer projects. There are many city codes about work space in these rooms. You have to maintain safe working clearances around electrical panels and fire sprinkler equipment. For instance you must keep a 3′ foot clearance in front of electrical panels. Items that tend to accumulate are paint cans, lumber, pipes, garbage and tenants storing their product or supplies.
