Slippery Sidewalks

With the snow and ice season here the sidewalks can get slippery. Supplying tenants with a bucket of salt and scoop may help deter some complaint calls. If you would like us to deliver these to any tenants give us a call.

Are Your heating systems ready for Winter?

Winter is not too far off and now is the time to start checking your building heating systems and to be sure they are ready for the first cold snap.

If you have a boiler it should have the burners cleaned and inspected for clogs or cracks. Clean burners are more efficient and don’t force the boiler to work as hard to heat water. Along with this all gauges and site glass’ should be checked for proper operation.

If you have roof  top units (RTU’s) or warehouse unit heaters they should be inspected to make sure the burners are clean and not cracked. A cracked burner or heat exchanger could possibly cause a flame spill back which is a fire hazard. These units should also have any belts or filters inspected and changed. These two items should actually be done on a quarterly basis.

If you have a Quarterly Preventive Maintenance (QPM) contract with us these things will be taken care of as part of the contract. If you do not have a contract with us please call and allow us to give you a quote for your unit or building. Please contact us at 763-551-0101 or send us an email at .

Boiler Maintenance

I know it is only August but winter is going to show up eventually. We usually start preparing boilers for the winter months in September and October. If you have a building with a boiler give us a call and we can add it to the list we already have started for this heating season.

Slippery Sidewalks

With winter here the sidewalks tend to get a little icy and dangerous to navigate once in a while.

If you have a building or tenants that would like a bucket of salt and a scoop delivered to them for use while waiting for the snow contractor to arrive, let us know.


Fall Preparations For Winter

With temperatures in the 80’s it’s hard to believe that fall and winter are on their way. To prepare your buildings for these seasons here are a few items that should be scheduled to be done or items to be checked out for needed repairs.

  • Cooling towers scheduled to be drained.
  • Boilers inspected and tested.
  • Warehouse unit heaters tested for proper operation.
  • Weather stripping on man doors and dock doors inspected and repaired.
  • Mechanical room heaters tested for proper operation
